Post 6: English language challenges Hello classmates and teacher! How are all your Christmas plans going? Have you already decorated your house with candy canes or bites? Haha, I have, this year I will enjoy Christmas early. Well, now yes, in this blog I will make a small reflection of what has been my experience with English in my university career and also, projecting me to other aspects of my life. I must say that before I entered the university I didn't know that I would also have English, and I thought that it wouldn't be necessary, but when I entered I realized the opposite.  I can say that learning more advanced English in the university has been very useful, even being in a pandemic, the classes have also helped me to have a better understanding of English, whether it's in movies, books, or even comics. In addition, another tool that has allowed me to develop this knowledge is the use of blogs (thanks to which they are reading me hehe). It has helped me to improve

Blog 5: A photograph I like

Blog 5: A photograph I like Hello everyone! How have you been? Tell me in the comments. Well, today the blog will be about a very special photograph. I remember this picture with a lot of nostalgia, it was taken by my dad on October 17, 2007.  Yes, more than 13 years ago, it seems unreal how fast time passes and we don't realize it. In this picture we were with all my family in my maternal grandparents' house, located in the commune of La Florida. In the picture I am playing with my cousin Daniela, daughter of my uncle Mauricio (we call him Mauri). We were playing with some paper dolls that she had, they also included paper clothes to dress them up. It was a lot of fun! I really like this picture, because in my childhood I remember being very happy because I always played with my cousin and shared a lot with her, and this picture represents it perfectly. Today I don't share much with her, but good memories with our loved ones are forever, and they are perfectly immortal

Post 4: My future job

Post 4: My future job Hello everyone again! Welcome to my blog, how are you? The truth is that I have been a little tired this week and discouraged, but luckily it is already Thursday and we are close to the weekend. Anyway, the topic I'll talk about today is about jobs. Honestly, when I was a kid, I could never imagine myself with any stable job, since at that time I didn't know myself enough and I didn't know what I wanted, but two years ago I finally found a job I would like to have; character designer. The character designer is the one who has the job of creating fictional entities (i mean, characters) for certain projects, such as animation projects, toys, movies, among others. I would love to have that job, because it is what I have been dreaming of this last time, to be able to create my characters and see them on screens or even in figures. I find it extremely fun and I challenge my creativity constantly. Some basic skills I need are to know how to conceptualize, m

Post 3: My favourite movie

Post 3: My favourite movie Hello classmates and teacher, this blog is very special for me, because its gonna be about movies! one thing I really enjoy is watching movies and also going to the cinema, there is nothing like the big screen. I think that cinema is simply art and expression, a great and wonderful field that allows us to explore diverse scenarios and worlds to create, where everything can be possible.  I consider cinema a source of inspiration in my daily life. Going to the movies is one of my best hobbies, it's a shame that because of the pandemic I can't enjoy going to the movies. It is a magical and very warm environment, the atmosphere of the film really envelops the room. Now, I want to talk about a movie that I remember with much affection since I was a child of only 6 years old. I am talking about "Corpse bride", a film directed by Tim Burton in 2005. The film is about Victor Van Dort, a young man who is about to become engaged to Victoria Everglot,

Post 2: My best holidays

Post 2: My best holidays Hello everyone! How are you? This week's blog will be about my best vacations and anecdotes of the summer. The vacations I had at the beginning of the year were by far the best in a long time.  They started on February 20th, which was the day we took a long trip from Santiago to Villarrica. We went with my family (mom, dad, and my older sister) by car, so you can imagine the length of the trip. In total it took 12 hours to get there, but we decided to divide our trip in two parts. The first part was from Santiago to Talca, and then finally  from Talca to Villarrica. We arrived on February 21, to a cozy cabin near the big lake. I remember them as the best holidays because it was the first time we were going to the south of Chile, so it would be our first experience in a different place, besides the thickness of the forests, the great volcano and the food, were simply unbeatable. We stayed for about 8 days, which were unforgettable, especially the days we wen

Post 1: A country I would like to visit

Post 1: A country I would like to visit Hello everyone, classmates and teacher, my name is Sebastian and this is my first post! I'm very excited. Well, today i'm going to talk about a place i would like to visit, and probably many of you have ever wanted to meet. The country I am talking about is Japan, a very developed country in terms of technologies and also services. I would like to visit Japan because I think their culture is very interesting and picturesque. I know that for their culture discipline, punctuality and order are terms that they assimilate from a very early age, and in many cases it makes them quite different from the perceptions of people in the rest of the world. Besides of course, from its millenary history, samurais, anime & manga, tokyo suburbs and other attractive features of Japan for occidentals tourists. If I could go, I would love to visit Harajuku, a district located in Shibuya, Tokyo. This district has become world famous for its extravagant
